Job Description

Printing Press Operator

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operations to support manufacturing operations within a production environment. This role focuses on operating and supporting printing press equipment while meeting safety, quality, and production requirements. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate printing press equipment according to job and production requirements
  • Prepare materials, inks, plates, tooling, or components needed for each production run
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality, alignment, and consistency
  • Inspect finished products throughout the run to ensure specifications and quality standards are met
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Complete production paperwork, job documentation, and quality records accurately
  • Assist with equipment changeovers, clean-up, and routine upkeep between jobs
  • Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping guidelines
  • Communicate with team members and leadership to meet production goals
  • Identify and report material shortages, defects, or equipment concerns

Required Skills

  • Experience operating industrial machinery in a manufacturing or printing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to read job instructions, work orders, or basic blueprints
  • Comfortable performing hands-on troubleshooting and minor adjustments
  • Willingness to work rotating schedules as production demands change

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in printing, press operation, flexographic equipment, or similar machinery
  • Experience with equipment setup, preventative maintenance, or machine changeovers
  • Understanding of quality standards within a production environment
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team-based operation
