Job Description

Quality Assurance Manager

The responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager are:

  1. Quality Control Leadership:

    • Lead and supervise a team of quality control technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent and accurate quality assessments.
    • Establish and enforce quality control procedures, standards, and guidelines.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of quality control staff, providing regular feedback and coaching.
  2. Quality Assurance:

    • Conduct inspections and audits of cosmetic manufacturing processes and products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
    • Implement and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance program, including documentation and reporting.
    • Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  3. Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, inspections, and test results.
    • Prepare reports on quality performance and communicate findings to management.
    • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory requirements.
  4. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Stay up-to-date with cosmetic industry regulations and standards, including FDA guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
    • Ensure that all manufacturing processes and products adhere to relevant quality and safety regulations.
  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancements in the quality control department.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and best practices.
  6. Training and Development:

    • Provide training and guidance to production and quality control staff on quality standards and best practices.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the quality control team.
  7. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with production managers, R&D teams, and other departments to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings and discussions to ensure alignment with company quality objectives.

A successful QA Manager candidate must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Quality Management) preferred.
  • Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within the cosmetic manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of cosmetic manufacturing regulations, including FDA guidelines and GMP.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using quality control tools and software. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience with cosmetic product testing and validation is a plus.
