Sports Medicine Physician
Location: Fredericksburg & Lorton, VA
Job Type: Full-time
Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm/7pm

The Sports Medicine Physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and functional recovery. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a team-based environment with strong referral support and access to comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries
Perform comprehensive physical exams and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide non-operative sports medicine care, including injections and procedural treatments as appropriate
Collaborate with interventional pain physicians, podiatrists, and physical therapists for coordinated care
Interpret imaging studies and coordinate additional diagnostics when needed
Guide patients through return-to-activity and injury prevention strategies
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
Participate in practice growth initiatives and community outreach as needed
Qualifications:
MD or DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Sports Medicine, Family Medicine with Sports Medicine fellowship, PM&R, or related specialty
Active or eligible for Virginia medical license
Experience in musculoskeletal and sports injury management preferred
Strong collaborative and patient-centered approach
Interest in working within a multidisciplinary model
