Veterinary Assistant Location: Saugus, MA
Schedule: Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts and 1 Saturday a month
Pay Range: $18-$22 (Based on experience)
Saugus Animal Hospital is a growing three-doctor practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a compassionate and dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
We are seeking a
full-time Veterinary Assistant who is eager to learn, loves working with animals, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on patient care and wants to build their skills alongside experienced veterinarians and technicians.

What You'll Do - Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient appointments and procedures
- Properly restrain animals for exams and treatments
- Prepare exam rooms and surgical areas
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment
- Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes to the medical team
- Collect and prepare lab samples
- Provide compassionate client communication and education
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment
What We're Looking For - Previous veterinary assistant experience
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
Schedule - Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts
- Must be available for one Saturday per month
